The local residency program is in response to the growing need for creative residencies in Lebanon offering professional conditions of work for artists in their own country. Whether through residency applications or direct conversations, HAH hosts the different steps of artistic processes with a specific focus on generating all types of encounters: with the community of Hammana, with other residents, or with audiences.

IMPRINT

IMPRINT is a residency program open to local and international artists, with an emphasis on socially engaged projects. IMPRINT aims to create a flow of ideas and knowledge exchange between Lebanon and the rest of the world, throughout the year, where the hosted artists leave their imprint on Hammana, and Hammana in turn leaves its imprint on the artists' work.

AMARRE

Amarre, in French, means mooring line: rope, cable or chain by which a boat is attached to the shore or to an anchor. AMARRE aims to connect forcibly displaced artists (or artists in exile) to their host communities. It is a residency programme that provides a safe working space for the selected artists to develop their projects and share them with the local audience, as well as connect them to the professional networks in their new environments. Hammana Artist House does not disconnect its mission from the rapidly changing political and social realities artists and art practitioners in the Arab region are currently living in.

PÔLE CRÉATION JEUNE PUBLIC

Pôle Creation Jeune Public, or The Young Audience Creation Hub, aims to offer a wide variety of artistic proposals dedicated to children and families, on the whole of the Lebanese territory. Its mission will be to give artists the opportunity to present their work in different areas and to dare to propose new aesthetic and semantic forms. It will also allow them to consider artistic expression for children as a vast and rich area of research that will nourish their practice in general. It seems essential to us to invite young artists to become aware of these thus unexplored possibilities and to therefore work towards the decentralization of art and culture. Aiming to respond to the lack of proposals for shows and artistic forms that are addressed to young audiences and families, the Young Audience Creation Hub wishes to provide solutions to the country's technical constraints while preserving the artistic quality of the projects. Sharing performances allow the new generations to realize that there are other alternatives to univocal speech, unique thought, and radicalizations of all kinds.

TADAFOR

TADAFOR is a program of decentralised residencies implemented through a network of local residency spaces in Lebanon. HAH partners up with different hosting structures to create a collaborative synergy offering more residency opportunities for artists across the country.
